I seriously need to watch the whole series and the movie now, because that was some fine ass-kicking you showed off and fun at the same time. I especially loved your way of editing the action sequences and with her dancing intercut perfect in synch, that was AWESOME and made me chuckle, so extra points for that.

You really made the strangeness that is River seen, while at the same time she remains human, plus you chose some fantastic visuals for the lyrics, so yes, even without knowing the source material, I was stunned, wonderful vid, Xandra!

and yes, as i've been telling you since the movie was annouced: you must watch it.

the editing between the fight and the dance was to represent what was going on in her mind... oh i'm full of shit i just needed to fill the space and i thought it would look cool. the first short instrumental was just clips i thought i would use. but thank you anyway.

Maybe I'm more full of shit than ususal, but I think the intercuts worked especially well, because she doesn’t seem to recognize her enemies in combat, she is on total autopilot to maim them down, so lost in the fight like she is lost in the music, just dancing away the tension, going through the motions. I really thought it expressed her state of mind very effective – crazy psycho bitch can kill you with half a thought for the task at hand.

And I wish you a joyful Chanukah, if I’m not mistaken, it starts tonight this year… *hugs*

yes it is but i'm lazy and my parents are away so i'm gonna skip it, well the fire part of it. However since it is christmas i must go through a different tradition... a movie and dinner with my sister. only with or parents away can we sit in a room together for many hours without a fight breaking out.

Firstly I am totally jealous that you have the "Serenity" DVD already. I have to wait til Feb (stupid European continent). I also loved the fighting as dancing section. I remember thinking when I saw the film that River fights like a psychotic ballerina.

It is a really smart vid part action part character study.

p.s. It wouldn't be the holiday season without a family fight. I believe that is a universal tradition that crosses all religious/cultural boundaries.

i'm glad you liked you present... sorry i never replied to your email.. i'm been a bit out of it/psycho recently with my email/life.

with the holidays well, so far i've been alone, parents left from sat to thursday so i've been only talking to the dogs... i think i have gone mad.

oh yeah the vid. We never get tv dvds first so it's about time. they really pushed out the dvds and fast. All i know is when i came up with this vid i was listening to the song and thought thats so river! and the fighting i was putting in cause it looked good and i had put the dancing after word and then i saw the spin and i was like thats right she's a dancer... she does all the same moves lol. my favorite part is when she kicks Simon, he can take abuse it's so sweet.

Is it a good or bad sign that the dvd came out so soon? Did it not do well at the box office? Simon and River are just the cutest siblings ever.

My Christmas was very quiet which I think I actually prefer to the whole family experience. We opened our presents in the morning then watched the usual rubbish on our new widescreen tv (xmas gift to ourselves which we will regret when we have to pay for it in the new year).

Don't worry about not getting back to me its like that sometimes. Actually you aren't mad for talking to the dogs you are only mad if they start to answer you back!

actually good... because on Amazon Serenity and Firefly are in the top 3 in sales with the year ending which means it will 'look' good. it might not be theaters again but straight to dvd or tv specials might be in the future.

yeah, the holiday (i'm not gonna try and spell it) in my house is being limited this year. Leeta's medical care was about the same as my college tution, so we're having an understated year.

they do talk back but only with their eyes and body lanuage. like when they start runnin around like maniacs i tell them to stop they look at me like two innocent angels saying "what? we weren't doing anything."

Is Leeta ok now? I know vets bills can really mount up. My cats do the maniac thing as well except for mostly they don't bother to stop and look innocent they just pause long enough to give me a look of contempt and then carry on with what they were doing which is usually wrecking something we can't afford to replace.

Leeta is a tough cookie, she came home a day earlier then expected, she ran around so much she undid the stiches herself and overall she's back to normal... it's ridculious she almost died she should at least be calm. But then again she was a street dog. Currently i believe she is tracking a mouse behind our stove. i think she's part cat.

personally i'm hoping it's just food, i do no want to deal with mice alone, i'm a wimp. to many scary movies with my dad. when i was 6 he let me watch almost anything.
