whats happened to my brain.... alright let me get this straight: i hate with a passion Jack/Gwen. it bugs me and feels wrong. I'm a Jack/Ianto fan all the way. But somehow my new favorite guilty pleasure pairing is Gwen/Ianto. how the hell did that happen.
Gwen/Ianto? Seriously, what is wrong with you?! Just kidding, I won't hold your guilty pleasure against you, we all have it... still, Gwen/Ianto?! *snicker* Well, at least you hate Jack/Gwen...
LOL. mostly because they're all post 1x13 and pre 2x01. And i also don't like Gwen all the much either... but for some reason its just fun, wrong and dirty. Gwen/Ianto fics are mostly about them having sex and Gwen getting off because she knows Ianto has been with Jack... I like fucked up desperate Gwen with Ianto who is doing it so he can lord it over Jack....
I've put to much thought into this. But i like the "never gonna happen" pairings and it used to be Owen/Ianto but i read all the fics.
However if there isnt anymore onscene Jack/Ianto next season i may kill.
nah, fandom just makes people look to the weird, when they full up on the preset pairings. I got that way with Buffy. Sometimes i dont even know why Xander/Giles seems like a perfectly normal pairing in my head.
Well, personally for me, it's more about the friendship than the sexual relationship (really, it's actually a *lot* more about the friendship, I don't think they really have sexual chemistry). It's like they have an understanding of sorts, they get each other, they get how the other might feel about Jack and they're completely open to each other. Offering his arm to Gwen when they walk out of the morgue, laughing on the couch, promising to talk to Jack for her, giving her the packaged, etc. They are on equal standing, know each other and respect each other. In a cast where so much of the relationships rely on UST and angst, that's just so refreshing.
Oh, I love Gwen/Ianto! They're just adorable and they have this quiet understanding that's just awesome. I love the OT3, and there's always one arm that needs to be the quiet, stable one. And it's that one.
